Here are the new features and bug fixes from the Presentation (Showroom) app to make your workflow more effective!

Sound on Videos:

  • From now on, if a video has sound, you will be able to hear the sound on the DSR (boards), media library, and public link.

  • DSR Flow

    • In editing boards, all videos with sound will get a ‘sound’ badge on the corner in the media listing.

      • Users can filter the media ‘video with sound’ using the general filter.

    • If the user adds a video with sound to a grid or a media row, they will see a sound controller in the bottom right corner.

    • All adjustments for the sound made in the edit mode will be saved and directly reflected in the presentation mode.

      • The unmuted videos will get a checkbox in the default button size to indicate those will be auto-playing.

      • If the user unmutes a video and/or changes the volume level, those will be saved, and unmuted videos will start playing automatically in the presentation mode once they are more than 50% of the view.

        • Changing the volume state for a video in the presentation mode won’t be saved, and as soon as the video gets out from the screen by 50%, it will be muted.

      • There can be only one unmuted video in each section. If the user unmutes a second video, it will mute the previous video.

        • Moving a video inside the same section will keep the video’s status, whereas if the user moves it into another section, the video will be automatically muted.

      • Undo/Redo actions affect the changing sound level/muting/unmuting.

    • For the computer, hovering over the sound component will open the controller; for the touchscreens, tapping once will open the controller.

      • If the user doesn’t act on the sound component, it will return to its default size.

  • Public Link Flow

    • Similar to the DSR, the videos with sound will get the sound component.

    • All videos will be muted by default, so they won’t be auto-playing.

  • Media Library Flow

    • If the user is uploading a single video with sound, they will use the same component, which they can hear the sound. If they try to upload multiple media, the ones with sound get a ‘sound’ indicator.

      • If they open a video with sound, the sound controller will be available.

      • All videos will be muted by default. Changing the sound state or level in the media library won’t be saved.
